Default Cruise control not working

I have a 2007 Suburban LTZ. My cruise control has not work for a long time. I changed the brake switch awhile ago and it didn't help. The light still comes on, on the stewring wheel but cruise control doesn't engage. I thought maybe it was because my rear air shocks were bad and was sending a code for the suspension. I changed the air shocks and compressor a few days ago, cleared the codes and still the cruise control doesn't work. I need help where to trouble shoot now.

I don't think this would have anything to do with anytging, but just want to make sure. The passenger brake light keeps going out. When the lights are on, the tail lights are all lite up, but when I hit the brakes the passenger brake light will go out quite often.

I'td take someone else more familair, but probably the body control module is the culprit. I "THINK" that handles the cruise, for sure the other problem you have.

The cruise control will not engage if it thinks the brake pedal is pressed, the switch is mounted at the top of the pedal, there are 2 switches , one for the CC and the other for the brake lights.
The CC may also not engage if you have any check engine lights on.

I changed out the brake switch a whIle ago thinking that was the issue, but when I switched it out, it still didn't fix the problem. Then I thought it was due to the rear suspension sending a code. So I replaced the air compressor and shocks and cleared the codes and still doesn't fix the issue. This is why I'm stock on where to look now.

Check the brake switch to make sure you get the open and closed signal when the pedal is pressed
Make sure you have no check engine light codes, even pending codes.
Check all of your fuses
