First idea: Please don't start a new thread to address the exact same issue that a previous thread was posted for the same day.
2nd idea: Check DRL light bulbs, the bulbs used during assembly were provided by the lowest bidder and do not last very long, it is not uncommon for them both to be burned out.

I thought the DRL were the high beams at reduced current, at least this was the way it was done on my 00Express and 03 S10 if I recall correctly. Unfortunately they're not around to go and confirm.
This may sound silly, BUT....
check to make sure that your e-brake pedal is fully released. Not sure if they still do it this way, but in olden days, if the e-brake was ok, the DRLs wouldn't turn on.
