Default Dealer parts are high? Alternatives? Help !

I have a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ with two things that are driving me crazy. 1. The temp programmer has the paint wore off of it. I understand a new programmer is $210. Can I get one aftermarket for less? Ideas? 2.The console also has a broken clip and I need to buy that little storage and drinkholders alltogether for $178. Any ideas???? Thanks ! mark

rattlingrogue Welcome to the forum....

as listed above they are some alternatives, I have used rockauto and GMParts Direct myself, with good results... the parts are cheaper but watch the shipping as that is where they seem to make up the difference sometimes... also check some of the banner adds to the right ------->>>>> as they are also parts suppliers and our sponsors

I have not tried it but have seen in the forum where folks have printed out a price quote from GM parts direct and taken it to the dealer and the dealer matched the price...
I'm pretty sure it needs to be a OEM part with a GM part number for them to do that but it may get you a good price and the parts in your hands a lot quicker...

I've found parts by searching the GM part number on Ebay, Google & Amazon.
