I lost a set of keys to my '13 Tahoe. Bought an aftermarket fob from Keyless Entry Remotes - Key Fobs, Replacement Car Remote - Car Keys only to learn after receiving it that it could not be programmed. Only the dealership can reprogram the key fobs for '13 Tahoes. Not to bash "carandtruckremotes" (but I will) buried in their website a couple pages deep, a disclaimer states that the remote can only be programmed by the dealership. Had they posted the disclaimer prominently on the description page for the particular fob I bought, I would have not bought it. OP, you may be experiencing the same issue and will have to go to the dealership to have the fob programmed.

Best of luck!!

Key fobs can only be self programmed in vehicles up to 2011. After that year, they must be programmed by the dealership or a qualified locksmith. I have the same issue with my 2012 Silverado

In my case locksmith has programmed it and it's the model made in 2013.
