Going to pick up a new ride next Monday, I was wondering how much of a difference there is between the GM Employee Discount and the GM Family Discount, in the past my uncle never had an issue getting me a discount, but this time he could only get the family discount, does anyone know how significant that difference might be...

 

As far as I know, there is only 1 GM employee discount. It is called "GMS". They do not have one price for employye and another for family. Ford has several plans, X plan, D Plan, A plan etc....but not GM.

If you are getting GMS price then you are getting the employee discount price which is usually $500 - $700 below invoice depending on the vehicle.

The GM employee discount that I saw was about 13% off MSRP and GM supplier discount was about 9% offMSRP and was just slightly less than invoice.

 

Damn thats all they let employees have off 13%. Now is that 13 plus any rebates? MSRP on mine was 38,300. Selling Price 30,275 plus TTL. This included rebates but less down payment.
