I am borrowing a friend's Tahoe. I think it is an 02. I was just getting ready to go somewhere and I opened the driver side door, and when I went to close it, it wouldn't close. I still can't get it to shut. I'm wary to push as hard as I can, in case something breaks and it's not mine. Does anybody have any ideas?

 

Hit the hinges and the door holding assembly with WD40

 

use a screwdriver to completely open the mechanism in the door, sounds like its partially closed and thats why its not letting it close.

 

Doh! that didint occur to me that it was the latch not closing I thought he literally meant the door lol! (what a mo, me that is)
yes open the door with the handle and use a screw driver or your finger to open the cam.

Open the passenger side to see how it should look when open
