Has anyone had this problem. Every time the drivers door sits toward the sun, and gets hot, the drivers window won't work. I replaced the whole switch unit a couple of times. It will work for a while then starts it again. The rest of the windows work fine off the same switch unit.

 

Its probably not the switch but the motor... it may be going into thermal overload protection from the heat...

 

That may be true, It happened on my wifes Camero, my Friends 2 Suburbans also. But only on the Drivers door.

 

Its the most used window I would suspect...

 

Not to mention the door that gets slammed the most often. Maybe a bad connector/wire interface. Wouldn't be the first time.

 

My cavaliers back passenger window had a bad solder joint on the motor. Real easy and quick fix once i got to it. Best was no $. Just time well spent.
