DTC Code P2135
A few months ago my Tahoe started pulling the code P2135 indicating that there was an AB throttle correlation error. I noticed that it happened more specifically anytime the vehicle got wet or had moisture anytime I went through a car wash. It would throw this error code what ended up doing to prevent this is I noticed that the rear trunk had a seal that started to leak and it would like really badly enter the interior so I replaced it with a used seal from a junkyard and then I also replaced the throttle pedal. Now three months later it started to do this again and as of right now I went to a car wash and now the code is pulling all the time. Anytime I reset it usually 10 Minutes to an hour later the code comes back and it does it non-stop. I’ve had to keep a code scanner plugged in. I have noticed that there has been very minor or slight water ingress from the trunk or the seal that I bought that was used to starting to fade, but what I’m confused about is how on earth is a rear trunk seal possibly causing a throttle pedal to not communicate properly with the engine control module. Does anyone know how on our this could be happening or even if this is the problem at all if maybe there’s water coming in some other way to the vehicle I did check the connector on the actual throttlebody itself and it does seem corroded or wet right now. I’m pretty much stuck away from Home 200 miles away with my truck not being able to run properly.
