DTC Errors need help trying to diagnose.
Hi All and thank you in advance for taking your time to look at this thread.
I have a 2004 Tahoe Z71, Flex Fuel 5.3L V8.
I am currently experiencing the following symptoms:
- Vehicle stalls if I press hard on the accelerator.
- If I get the car at about 50 mph (gradually) it jitters once in a while.
- If my tank gauge reaches quarter tank I cannot leave the car without starting for over 24 hrs or it will not start. On the flip side I can put a gallon of gas and drive over 30 miles and not run out of gas.
- Seems that my car tend to stall more often during the day ( i live in the cayman islands, its very hot during the day) heat seems to be a factor.
I have a Hypertech III controller which I use to read the DTC codes but I have not used the controller for anything else other than "set to factory settings" the error codes are as following:
C0225
P0171
P0174
P0463
B2476
B0229
B0434
C0750
C0760
C0765
Thank you once again for your time looking at this post. Regards,

Welcome to the forum...
I would suggest first off, clearing all of the codes and see what comes back and start there, as that is a lot of codes and some could be stale ones that are not an issue....

thank you for your response.
I do have a lot of errors but not all of them are related to the issue I am talking about here, I have a bad ac modulator which I need to replace, also a broken abs line by my front wheel this explains the other errors.
I am particularly interested in finding errors: P0171, P0174 & P0463. which are all fuel related. I read on engine-codes.com that if you are receiving error messages P0171 & P0174 it is very likely to be an intake leak, but correct me if I am wrong if I did in fact have an intake leak wouldn't I stall out every single time I press hard on the accelerator? right now my problem tends to intermittent. it is most like to occur during the day when its hotter.
thanks all any input is truly appreciated.

Ok Solved! so I installed a new fuel pump and no longer reading lean on bank 1 and bank 2 (02 sensors) after a few drives for the ECU to remap the new fuel pump and car is now driving like a dream!
