DVD Down OPTICAL error
2014 Tahoe with an in dash DVD stereo, drop down screen in back for kids. When I load the disc in (movie), it spins trying to load the disc, then after a few mins "Optical error" appears and the disc is ejected. I have also noticed on occasions without a disc in the system spins looking for a disc. Ideas on how to fix this?

The disc spinning up you hear without a DVD in the drive is most likely the Nav disc spinning up and getting ready.
Not sure what the error is caused by though. Or does the GM Nav system still use a map DVD? I know they changed somewhere along the line but I'm not sure what year.
