Default electric brake controler

i have installed a brake controller into a 2007 suburban wired the 4 blunt wires connected the red/black wire to fuse screw post under the hood and still nothing works what else needs to be done

Don't want to thread-jack but was curious if the two posts referenced in the install.pdf on the BUS box can be used for other purposes such as power for a wiring harness?

i would think so as long as you don't try to pull more power than the circuit can Handel .
