Default Engine Immobilizer 1995 Suburban LS

Hallo,

my 1995 Suburban LS K1500 is equipped with a engine immobilizer. To deactivate this immobilizer, you have to hold a small plastic keyring fob in front of. It is not integrated in the key.

Has anybody an idea, if this kind of immobilizer were a standard feature from chevrolet in 1995? Or is this maybe upgraded with stuff from a third supplier?

I bought the Suburban with only one plastic keyring fob left. In case of losing this one, it would turn into serious problems...

Thanks in advance for any ideas

Benny
