Hey guys,

I need some help with this issue. If I don't start my 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe LS for 2 - 3 days, it will start but then misfire and shut off. After 4 -5 times, then applying the gas then it would stay on.

Any opinions on what this could be?

I will try to get a recording of sound and try to post.

It may be a lifter issue if it is misfiring. Pulling the codes might help more than the recording.

 

Ok. The lifters were changed 2 months ago but I will pull the code and see exactly.

 

Your Idle Air Control Valve may be in need of cleaning. Have it checked.
