my wife drives a 2004 tahoe with a 4.8l, i would like to swap this with the 5.3l, my question is this. is it a straight swap or are there problems that need to be addressed, any info would be great.
i'm new to this forum, if this info is already on here how do i access it.

Should swap easy, but you need the computer for the 5.3, and maybe the harness for it to.

Default yea

unless your getting the engine free it might be 100 million times easier to sell it, and buy one with the 5.3 in it...
