I did finally get the Lat/Lon correct now, the previous figures were mistakes, I think I had myself in the middle of the Mexican desert at one point.
Surf's been good by the hotel but lousy on the bay side, water's too cold for me this time of year.

It's the Pacific. It's always too cold in CA.

Does this mean that the mirror lites are supposed to come when you exit the truck?

Yes, they come on to see your footing entering and yes, they come to see your footing exiting. For some reason not all Tahoes are working that way. Check yours the next time it's in the dark and see what you get. They came in handy on my pick-up one rainy night keeping me from stepping out into a pothole full of water. Other then that they are useless.

I just had my dds and pds reprogrammed last Monday and mine does not work. I had the passenger door window and lock problems - (no control of window and lock. shut off truck it would then work.)

One error that dealers are commonly making when the reprogram the modules with these updated calibrations is that some are not using the Pass-Thru method.
You mau want them to try it again and stress that they need to use the Pass-Thru method to complete this proceedure.

Thanks for info. Just out of curiousity what is the difference (in methods)

I have good advisors and they are open to info from the owner. I shared your info exactly when I made the repair request. I bet the info didn't get to tech though. Apparently.

bulletin info was on the write up

One method is to tranfer the data via handheld Tech-II the other is to use Pass-Thru cable and connect data port in vehicle directly to the computer.
