Default Factory backup Camera / Aftermarket radio

Does anyone know if the Factory backup camera will work with an aftermarket radio?

Any expert advice from ZX1100F1 would be appreciate.

thanks

It most likely will work fine but you would need to bypass the OEM camera module under the passenger front seat and run the raw data feed into your aftermarket camera input or their own module.
My guess is that a high-end mobile audio/video installer or even your units manufacturer will have (or can get) the necessary adaptor(s) to accomplish this if you search around.

nilsm,

Did you get your aftermarket dvd unit in your dash working with your factory rear dvd?

Default battery change no video feed from camera

I have a 2012 Silverado with factory backup camera and an aftermarket radio. The camera worked fine until I had to replace the battery. Now there is no video feed to the radio or the rearview mirror. Also the AMP power steps wouldn't work. I have disconnected the negative side and put it to the positive side, holding there for a bit. I was told this would unload capacitors. That worked for the steps but there's still no video feed. Is there anything to try.
Thanks Crafty
