RE: 07 Subwoofer Enclosure
Sorry for the delay guys. We finished the install Friday night of the prototype. With very little tuning, it hits HARD. I have heard several enclosures in the new 07s and with the exception of a few sub systems that had multiple subwoofers in a large enclosure that was not stealth and took up some of the precious cargo area, this is the best one I have heard.
The JL Stealthbox is not even close in terms of output and SQ. I have a Pioneer AVIC-Z1, Rockford Power1000 Limited Edition (the 2006 5 channel amp) with a JL 10W3V3. This sub system sounds so unlike any 10" stealth like enclosure I have ever heard. The console is extremely secure with everything in place and is rattle free suprisingly. The removable dash piece at the base of the windshield rattles some, but with a small strip of foam tape that you cant see, it is gone.
The doors actually rattle some if you really pound on it with the windows up. The great thing about this enclosure is that it is so versitile. It sounds great with all kinds of music. The factory sub only hits a few notes well and the JL uses such a small enclosure with such a limited sub that it seems to have a real punchy sound and doesnt play very low at all.
I will update with a few pictures tomorrow.
He said the enclosure (without subwoofer) will likely sell for around $400-$450 and will include a pretty elaborate manual with pictures for the DIY install.

Yes, I was just about to order the JL Stealthbox when I did a search and found this thread... This thread is old from March... Was this project stopped?
