Default Find a 12v Power Source-99 Tahoe

Hi. I think I'm going to install a center console in my 99 tahoe. The escalade console has an LED light built in to it near the console. Does anywhere know where I can connect the LED to a 12v power source that is disabled when truck is off? Perhaps something from the radio. Obviously, I don't want LED to be on when truck is off. Thanks in advance.

Why do you want a LED light to be on anytime the key is on? Why not put a switch on it so it will come on whenever you want it to come on?

Don't worry about it running your battery down. It won't. Some vehicles actually have a red LED that comes on when the alarm is energized as a warning. It doesn't run the battery down.

I gotcha. To be honest, Id prefere to connect it somewhere so that the LED comes on when the headlights are on but that's too much trouble it seems. I'll settle for connecting it so that its on when the truck is on. Thanks.
