fitting 35" tires
I am thinking of putting 35" tires under my 99 suburban, was looking for any hints from somebody that might have already done this. Also any ideas of aftermarket fenders that still have factory profile but would cover the wider tire?

Currently it has the stock 245/75r16 size tires, and no lift. I am considering the four or six inch lift by Fabtech. Was just hoping somebody out there has already been there and done that. It will be a while as I am currently serving over in Iraq, can't wait till I get back home and get caught up on my life.

You will need 6" to clear 35s, Several companies sell flares for extra coverage, try Buschwacker. Dont forget you will probably need lower gears to compensate for the tires, unless you already have 4.10. When I put 35s on my Suburban with 3.73 gears it was O.K. Until you hooked up a trailer. Then it was lacking. I Installed 4.56 gears and it made a phenominal differenge. And your effective ratio is something like 3.84-1. No Problem. My Avalanche has 35s with 4.10 gears and its fine without a trailer. I will tow in a couple weeks and see how it does. If its week then I will put in 4.88s. By the way, thanks for your service, Hope you make it home O.K.
