Default Floor Mats

Spring is technically here, although in many places around the country you wouldn't know it yet. As a result, I wanted to upgrade the floor mats in our Suburban. It can get pretty muddy during the Spring time. I spoke with the dealer and looked at the GM all weather mats and they looked okay, but they didn't provide enough spill protection. I, like many of you, have two little ones and I didn't want to get Milk on the carpet.

The parts department suggested I look at the Weathertech floor mats. They have a product called digital fit, which is suppose to provide added protection.

I ordered the product directly from Weathertech and have installed them. Overall, they will do the job well. The only problem is the passenger side floor mat. Unfortunately, it is cut too low and does not provide enough protection for the carpet. After installing the mats, I contacted Weathertech's customer service and asked them for assistance on how to deal with the passenger side floor mat, as I was sure I must have received a defective mat.

Unfortunately, I was told that there was no solution and that Weathertec has an engineering problem and can not properly produce the mats to cover the carpet. What I didn't understand and clearly outlined to Weathertech, is why the Driver's side mat fits properly. In the end, after a lot of back and forth with their customer service department, they told me that I am on my own and that it is was my problem to come up with a solution to cover the carpet.

Please find attached some pictures of the install and "my solution" for covering the passenger side carpet. The solution is to lay a second floor mat over the digital fit. it isn't a very graceful solution, but will keep the mud off the carpet.

If you should purchase this product for your truck, be aware that you are on your own.

I will post a couple more images of the install in a second thread, should anyone be interested in the future.

More pictures.

We wanted to have something that covered the entire aisle area. The Weathertech does a good job covering the aisle. You can see in the pictures of the 2nd row that the mats do not come out as well as they should to cover the door jamb. They cover better in the front.

Hopefully Spring weather will be around the corner and the ground will start to dry up soon.

In the UAE, mats Dubai provides different types of mats. These include bath mats and doormats. Doormats are made of durable material that keeps the house clean, while bathmats provide a warm non-slip surface and absorb small amounts of water.
