Default Front driver seat issue

Got a 2005 Tahoe Z71. Front seat shifts when braking, accelerating or sometimes driving on rough road. GM attempted 3 times to repair the seat under warranty. No luck. Still has problem. It seems to me that the problem could be in hinge area of seat bottom/back. Hard to tell. This is a motorized seat so there could be other issues. Floor mounts are tight.

Anyone had experience like this and resolved it? I want to remove the seat and check it myself... Need instructions... help please.

Thanks

I had a similar issue with my 97 Tahoe, my situation seemed to be slack in the gears. When ever the seat would get that slack in it (most noticable at braking or accelerating) if I moved it a few inches forward and back again the gears would mess up tighter for a while. My 07 tahoe seems to be much tighter and does not have that problem however I wish the seat back had a finer adjustment , seems too course and does not lay far enough back for napping. (I listen to the XM at lunch sometimes to get outside)

as for removing the seat it should be straight forward 4 bolts and an electrical connection.

Had same problem with a 01 Suburban. The problem is the rubber around the nut that the
worm gear runs through. The rubber insulator detoriates, and the nut moves around, causing
the seat to move forward, and backward. It is not easy to fix. I did fix mine by getting a
seat assembly from a junk yard and swapping part. Cheaper that paying $800 dealer wanted.
