Default Front driver side grinding noise 05 2wd suburban(not wheel hub)

Hello, I just got a 05 suburban 2wd. I'm getting metal grinding sound coming from the front driver side area, its more prominent 20-40mph and increases the faster I go. I changed the wheel hub, the brake pads look new and rotors are in good shape. When I brake the grinding sound does not change tone. A friend said it could be the passenger wheel hub radiating sound to the driver side. I don't know? Any ideas?

Does it increase or decrease in sound when you make a turn? I had a bad wheel hub on my front passenger side and it would stop making noise when I turned to the left.

ive had a couple of these mid 2000's chevys each one needed new hub bearings. i could never tell where the noise was coming from, one time i did what oldchevy said and thought the noise came from the opposite side of what you're turning but that was true once. but got so good at changing hub bearings i think we had it down to 10 minutes. but something you have to make sure you do is tq the axle nut to the proper specs as improper tq can and will lead to bearing failure

Found out that it's the drivers rear wheel hub. I jacked the rear end up and spun the wheels. The grinding is coming from the drivers side, plus there is play pulling and pushing the wheel. I guess the sound seemed like it was the front drivers side. Thanks for ya'lls reponces.
