GM non life toll rises. SkyNet drives on.
I've been asked to be less satirical, and possibly negative, so here goes:
The GM "non-life" approval toll has risen to 35.
General Motor’s Ignition Switch Death Toll Rises To 35
As of the moment my Tahoe has had no safety recalls, however I'm genuinely concerned about the handling of the issue from this company.
Anyone can make a defective part. I get that. $hit Happens. Period.
It's how you handle the situation after that determines who you are.
For less than the price of a coffee at McDonalds, GM could have prevented the gain of non-life.
(I am struggling here, apparently I can only write satirically)!
Who knows, if we all "drive" self driving cars, then we won't crash!
Self driving cars don't have to not crash to work. (Double negative for emphasis).
We (humans) expire at the rate of 40,000/year in car crashes.
(Don't quote me, I think that's the number, but I'm too busy to look it up just now).
If self driving cars... expire 30,000 people a year.... that's a lot of reason to let the car drive...
So... with SkyNet firmly in charge, we can all rest easy...? right?
Would you let the car drive?
Would you let the car drive on the highway?
Would you ride in a car 'without' a driver?
