Got the new tint

Got the new tint
Alright so I got my new tint today 25% and it looks bad ***. Only thing is, it is a different almost greener color than the factory tinted window. Anybody else who had their windows tinted also notice this or is it just my tint? Also, I accidentally rolled down the window like a quarter of the way but immediately rolled it back up. I know you arent supposed to roll it down for like 48 hours... will this mess up the tint? One more question, a cold front just moved through here with a winter storm so its really foggy on the inside of the window, any chance this is going to effect the tint? Thanks for the help.

RE: Got the new tint
I believe the prohibition on rolling down the windows for several days is to prevent lifting of the edge of the tint.
You'll probably see some fogging or even small air bubbles at first but they should go away with time. If they don't, then take it back. It will probably take longer with the cold temps.
Not sure what causes the green color. All of the tint I've done or had done by others always matched the factory tint.

Don't roll down windows for five days, wait 30 days before cleaning inside and use only non-ammonia products, and wait 45 days for the film to cure and the haze, condensation, and bubbles to disappear.

I agree with most of the above. Give the tint time to get in its mature/natural stage! It really needs to "cure". Let it adhere completely before touching it, messing with it, cleaning it, etc.
As for the window, just dont roll them down for a couple days. If you dont see the tint coming loose at the bottom of the window you rolled down then dont worry about that.
As for the Green effect, I would say they used some cheap tint! Find out what brand it is, actually go there and look at the box! HAHA, i am sure if you call and ask them they might tell you a different brand. When I got mine I got a Suntek warranty card. On the card is the % of tint on each window, the warranty information, and even the roll number the tint was out of! I would say it is possible even the green effect may go away with time. But I have had almost 20 vehicles tinted and never noticed any type of green color to them.

Not necessarily green. it is just a different color from the rest of the factory tint. It looks fine from the outside but on the inside it doesnt match the factory. I could have sworn i read someone else on here noticing the same thing about the tint.

What should the normal color for an aftermarket tint be from the inside? I think the problem is i only got the tint put on the front windows and the back windows are still the factory tempered glass. It would be near impossible to match an aftermarket tint with the factory glass that is already tempered with a natural tint in it. Maybe I'm just being too picky. but it bugs me that from the inside the front windows are a different shade than the back.

I put aftermarket tint on my back windows, as well as the front windows. My understanding is that the factory tint does not block the UV rays or reject much heat. In doing so, it makes the rear windows a little harder to see out of because it is now like limo tint. But, you can't see inside now and it is noticeably cooler inside while in the direct sunlight.

What Brand of tint did you get?

RE: Got the new tint
Man i have no clue what brand it is. The place I got it at is the best custom shop in town and I overpaid by about 25 dollars for it. We had to do it on the low kinda because they originally said they wouldn't do illegal tint. So i just left my car up there one day in the parking lot and dropped the keys off inside and when I came back it was finished. The tint almost looks a little yellowish from the inside but on the outside it looks perfect. I'm not sure if this is normal or not but I'm pretty sure its a good tint because this place is the same place that does all of the Dallas Cowboys cars and Mavericks cars. Plus they are known for being overpriced but you get good quality so it's worth it.
