Default harmonic balancer install

The installer tool from local part stores is way to short for the deep threads on chevys. I guess once size deff doesnt fit all
Im trying to track down the correct tool for rent. Not interested in purchasing hundred dollar tool for one use. It would eat into what Im saving installing new oil pump my self

suggestion would be very helpfull

I just use a long bolt with a flat washer,or should I say many washers.put some washers on the bolt, thread it into the hole so You have about 3/4 inch of bolt into the crank when the bolt head/washers is against the balancer then screw it in about an inch, back it out, install more warshers, screw it back in,repeat as necessary until You can get some good threads of the original bolt into the crank then screw er on down.

PS: lube the threads of the bolt with oil or antiseize, wipe off the excess,You do not want to screw them thread in the crank.
A piece of all thread works great too, then You leave the all thread in the crank, then You wont have to be constantly backing out the bolt to add more warshers.

SBC I believe is a 7/16ths NF thread, the others may or may not be the same, newer would probably be metric.
