Default Head light lens polish

For those that have the head light lenses that are yellowing and are not clear anymore, I tried the 3M Lens restoration kit http://www.3mestore.com/60455033872.html
and it worked quite well. I used it on my wifes 2003 Dodge Caravan, its a bit of work, time consuming, but not difficult. Follow the instructions and sand throughly and the results are very acceptable. One kit was enough to do both head lamps and they are pretty big.

Yes for plastic it can also be used for the rear tail lights, I didnt have to use it for that but the instructions cover using it on the tail lights if needed. My pictures are the greatest because of reflections but it really is a great deal better, the wife says it looks like new so I guess I did good on that. 3M recommends maintaing it with the plastic polish.

in2pro thank you for posting this.
Folks, Autozone has this 3M product. I went there and played cheap. I did not buy 3M becuase it was about $15. I bougth another product on the same shelf which was a blue compound in a black container for $6. That product did NOT work even after I applied it multiple times and rubbed for 30 minutes on each lens. 3M kit has all the fine grit (2000 grit) sandpaper for stubborn lenses in it.

They are still clear so far, I haven't had to polish them. I figured I would give them a buffing at about 6 months, its only been about 2 months...
