Default Head rest removal

'04 Tahoe, how can I temp remove the 2nd row headrests for more room when the seats are folded down. Thanks. *BW*

Usually just holding the adjustment button in or part way in will allow for the full removal of the head rest... if not check for a small hold in the collar of the head rest bezel, that is usually the release point, use a straighten paper clip or small nail to press in the release... having extra hands can help....

Agreed. A second pair of hands is especially useful. Lift up on the headrest while pressing in the release hole. Use a jumbo paperclip or a nail. A regular paper clip probably isn't stiff enough.

Since I don't have my 2004 tahoe anymore, I can't verify this but I don't think the second row headrests are removable. They flip backwards when the seats are folded down to avoid hitting the bottom of the seat in front that has been has flipped forward.
