Default Heating

I have a 1996 Chevy Suburban, K2500.
I had the ac repaired this summer and now I don't have any heating anymore. There is no hot air coming out.
I allready checked the door actuator, and it works when I change the heater control from cold to hot...
What could be wrong ?
Thx,
Bruno

Are your hoses going through the firewall nice and toasty-warm?
How's you coolant? With the heater core sitting up so high it might be dry. Sometimes they get air locked. Could also be the heater core valve.
Does engine overheat during sustained driving? Could be thermostat or water pump. Or if it doesn't heat up it could be a stuck open thermostat.

I do have enough coolant...
I had the heater core been replaced by dealer. It should work... I'll check.
I'll check the valve also...
No, the engine does not overheat. Motor temp is ok. I replaced the thermostat earlier, and it works as it should.
I'll check the hoses... I know the hose feels a little old and worn...

Thx for your response !

Changed core and thermostat? Could have got an air bubble stuck in the system. Sometimes if you get the nose up on a steep incline an run it with the rad cap off you can burp the system. Be sure to have a little coolant handy to add if she slurps a lot down.

Oh yeah- Welcome to the forum!
