Help!! 07 steering issues
I have an 07 4wd ltz with 39,000miles...and i am having the first real problem with it just as it comes out of warrenty. The prob is..when u turn the steering wheel close to the lock position at low speeds you feel a "bumb" or several "bumps" as you turn the wheel. The service dept at me dealership is not sure what it could be they have not had it on a rack yet just some short dist driving. Their initial statment was that they thought is was an "intermediat steering shaft", or some "arm" in the front in.....has anyone had any of these problems...please respond
Is your tahoe lowered or have non-stock tires/wheels on it? If so, check the sway bar in the front to see if the tire is rubbing on it. The bar is typcially black, but if you are getting tire rub, you will see a bar metal area. The rubbing tends to be worse on left turns.
