Default Help.....07 Tahoe Navigation Upgrade....

Now my RSE is not working.....I replaced my HU with the OEM navigation model number 25857364 which does not have RSE. My Tahoe has RSE. Can I enable this feature on the nav HU? If not, is there a way to tap into the video and send it out to my OEM RSE?

BTW...I have the VSS harness with the video output plug available to use if I can figure out which wires go to the rear monitor.

I'm betting that your new HU w/o RSE won't work w/ your RSE.

I found this schematic on another forum.

I'm going to see if tapping into pin 1 and 2 will allow me to display video output from the screen. Hopefully I can get the video output from the yellow video plug on the VSS harness.

On the head unit trim piece does it say DVD (on the bottom, left side) - if not then it's CD-based and no video. The head units on RSE equipped vehicles says DVD.

That yellowvideo plug attached to the VSS harness is for Rear View Camera input. You connect your camera and when in reverse the headunit takes input from that RCA plug. Get the schematic to the other connector and tap into the pins labeled DVD video + DVD video -

You're right. My method did not work. I guess I'm going to get a different unit and do it right.
