Just wanted to know if anyonw else has had a problem with their digital odometer going out. It will sometimes come back if I flick the trip reset switch with my finger or bang on the dash. I took the cluster out and saw no apparent problems with wirinf or the circuit board, just a dying LCD display maybe? Any help would be appreciated..

 

I have heard about this too. A buddy of mine at work as a 2003 Silverado extended cab and asked me if my digital odometer ever acted "funny" and would come on/go out and random. (thank God it doesn't...)

I don't know of a solution. It might be a loose wire or connection up in/behind the dashboard panel.

Anybody else heard of this?

I've seen it 2-3 times and each time you just have to replace the entire gauge cluster as a hole.

I would pull it out and pull the connector off and check the pins to make sure none of them are bent.
