Default help! column clock spring (sir coil) 2007 tahoe

before i removed my intermediate shaft to grease it i removed the outside bolt on the shaft under the hood so i could try move the shaft in and out to see if that was the problem i didnt feel the steering wheel moved however i must have turned it a little while doing so because when i bolted it back the steering wheel was 180 off (1/2 turn) so i turned it back to normal the direction i felt it needed to go, then i was worried if i went the right way since i had a 50-50 chance i was right or wrong, so i jacked up the tahoe to take off any pressure and very slowly turned the wheel to the left all the way no problem, then i went to the right very slow and only could go about 3/4 of the way and felt it wanted to stop so i turned it back to center and went the other way with the shaft and fixed the problem so i retested it again the same way and worked great, problem is now the service traction control and the service Stabilitrak is showing is this controlled by the clock spring (sir coil) my airbag, radio controls all work fine, everything i read says that the air bag and radio controls should stop working, if anyone knows if the clock spring also runs the service traction control and stabilitrak please let me know. thanks for any help!

get the chassis codes read. If the wheel was put back wrong the steering wheel position sensor will set a code.

robin93784: Welcome to the forum.

I don't believe the GMT900s use an intermediate shaft like the GMT800s did. Could be wrong tho.
