I have a 2002 Tahoe LT 5.3 4WD and last weekend the transmission went out. I'm looking for a rebuilt trans and see them online from $600 to $2000. I don't need anything extra ordinary. I was just hoping I could get some advice on where to find a solid rebuilt trans for a decent price. I will be removing and installing it myself. Thanks for the help

Thanks Sean, I did see that website, but from what I can tell they specailize in heaavy duty transmissions with much harder shift points, etc... I use it as a daily driver, and didn't know if I wanted to go that route. Thanks for the help though.

 

It depends on what area you are in but if you are local to the Charlotte market at all I would try the Transmission King, Twin Automotive for Transmission Repair / Rebuild.
