help with high idle

Default help with high idle

i have a 95 tahoe 4x4 2 door 5.7 engine i have really high idle when in park around 2000 rpm and in drive around 1100 rpm i have just done wires, plugs,cap,and rotor this made the idle actually increase i have also cleaned the tps and my ses light comes on sometimes at idle but then goes back off any suggestions?

Start with checking the IAC (idle air control) and make sure it's not stuck open.

replaced both iac and tps sensor idle came down to about 1750 at park and 1050 in drive, could it be vehicle speed sensor?

I don't think it would be the speed sensor, that would possibly effect the shifting but not the idle.
I say it a lot on this forum, but when you removed and replaced the tps, did you check and adjust the voltage signal?

update, found problem was throttle body gasket blown,replaced with new now everything is where it should be. thanks mudmaniac for your help!
