I would say if you are having an air bag code as well. I would have someone put it on the tech2 scanner see if it comes up on there

hey bud. So your fuel issue.

im having stabilitrak issues. 2008 Tahoe. Also having issues with crank/camshaft position sensors. I’ve replaced both twice Check engine light keeps randomly coming on and throwing the code for one or both of those. A lot of times check engine light comes on with no drivable differences noticeable Then whenever the stabilitrak pops up while driving I have issues. I can’t ever recall if it’s blinking or solid. I’ll try to pay better attention in the future. But sometimes it stalls and does instantly. Sometimes it runs like crap like it’s only hitting on a couple cylinders or robbed for fuel. When it does that I hear a poping in the engine or maybe a knock. Sometimes I can shut it off and leave it for 15 minutes and it starts fine. Sometimes I have to disconnect the battery for five minutes and then it’s fine. Sometimes cheating the code and it’s fine. Code is always crank/camshaft. If I try to start it right after it dies I’ll get long crank no start Sometimes it’s long crank barely start and run like crap I’ve chased wires. Checked connections dielectric grease on stuff I’m not getting these hard shifts or anything like anyone else it almost makes it immobile I’ve had a few different places try to scan it or hook computer up and everyone only ever tells me crank/camshaft code

Post your codes and vehicle info please (engine/miles), ideally in a new thread. Thanks.

What did you do to fix this issue, and how much did it cost???
I know this is not going to make any sense but if you're truck has displacement on demand and you have low oil pressure or any type of misfire which is very common with these trucks any type of problem with this system with cause you're issues as I have a 07 chevy Tahoe with the exact same issue

Do the warning lights stay on or do they come on intermittently? Have you had any aftermarket equipment added to the vehicle (i.e. different size wheels/tires, etc.)?

Could you please PM me your vehicle VIN number so I may research your vehicle further. I may be able to provide additional information.

I look forward to your reply.

My 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 is doing the same thing. Only difference is I can turn on the air conditioner and that will cause the traction control and stabilitrack lights to come on. Sometimes they come on on their own without the air conditioner being on. Either way I've had some aftermarket parts put on this truck over the course of the last 2 years. I have no idea what happened before that as I purchased this pre-owned at a Chevrolet dealership. The warning lights are coming on intermittently. And it shifts really hard when the lights are on but yet when the lights go off it shifts normally. It acts as if it needs another coil pack but I have replaced the same coil pack three different times and the spark plug as well I've also replaced the plug wires I have went as far to purchase O2 sensors and have cleaned the fuel injectors. I'm at a loss here don't know what to do can you please help me?

If it stays on, or comes on when you are driving, there may be a problem with your StabiliTrak system and your vehicle may need service. When this warning light is on, the system is off and will not limit wheel spin. Adjust your driving accordingly.

This light will also flash when the StabiliTrak system is active. If the StabiliTrak system warning light comes on and stays on for an extended period of time when the system is turned on, your vehicle needs service.

The traction control part of StabiliTrak can be turned off by pressing and releasing the StabiliTrak button if both systems (traction control and StabiliTrak) were previously on. To disable both traction control and StabiliTrak, press and hold the button for five seconds.

Traction control and StabiliTrak can be turned on by pressing and releasing the StabiliTrak button if not automatically shut off for any other reason.

When the TCS or StabiliTrak system is turned off, the StabiliTrak light and the appropriate TCS off or StabiliTrak off message will be displayed on the DIC to warn the driver. Your vehicle will still have brake-traction control when traction control is off, but will not be able to use the engine speed management system.

If the StabiliTrak and/or Traction Control are not operating properly, I encourage you to take your vehicle in for inspection. A certified technician will be able to offer a more accurate diagnosis.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

I don't have a TCS button to press. How do I turn it off?

Default Traction control, stabilitrac warning

I was getting those lights on my 2015 traverse and when I replaced the brake pedal return spring, it seemed to correct that problem. Before I changed it, I verified by holding my toe underneath the pedal to keep it all the way up and the lights did not come on until I removed my toe.

Default Stability issues Tahoe

Hi
just a note:
I had the stabilitrac light coming on for years and no one could figure it out. I finally noticed that my motor mounts were broken. Fixed them and no more stabilitrac light. Been fine for several years now.
To check the motor mounts, have a driver put on the emergency brake, put their foot on the brake and put the vehicle in reverse. Give a little gas while holding down the brake. If the motor lifts up
the motor mounts are bad. Good luck.
