Has anyone had success installing HID fog lights without the light housing melting? I had one set installed in 2009, lit the road up pretty good at night, but, the housing wound up melting after awhile. Also trying to find out if there are any after market 2007 Tahoe/Burb fog light housings out there.

 

I vaguely remember someone finding a metal housing that fit and used it successfully.

 

Is there a replacement bulb for the fog lights that won't melt the housing?

 

Probably, just not a HID bulb.
