8000k is a bit of the blue side. if the blueish tint bothers you, then just ask for 4200k bulbs..they wont show any blue. I personally have 6000k, and they have a very very slight tint of blue.

ORIGINAL: TPeezy

Shnormo, the lights look a little blue? Is it just the picture or do they emit blue light? I am looking for something Bright white.

They are a shade bit blue. But then you should get the 6000K bulbs for pure white.

If you don't want to detect any blueness in your HID's you need to go even one step lower than the 6000K's. I have the 6000's in my LTZ and it still has a hint of blue in them. I personally like the looks of the blue and also will warn you that any lower temp may be borderline illegal for a low beam headlight. I get a lot of people flashing their high beams at me...And if you decided to go with the lower temp light you may end up buring somebody's retinas !!!

so why does the HID have to warm up? Do they eventually start working or do you just drive around with one headlight

They have to warm up because the metal inside the bulbs have to atomize.
