Default High Pressure Fuel Pump

hi Guys,

I want to test a crazy idea of running the engine on hydrogen or hho which is output from an electrolyzer. will use a separate battery pack to power the electrolyzer. The gasoline supply has to be turned off. I like to try it on my 2016 Suburban LT if possible. My question is how do I turn off the fuel injectors without damaging any fuel system component like low pressure and high pressure fuel pumps. Is there an easy and safe way to turn the pumps off?

thanks in advance.

have you tried this on a vehicle you don't care about before a new 2016? Its pretty easy to disable injectors. Aside from the injectors; Do you know what your doing?

This is what i wrote in hptuners forum. Now i need to figure out how to turn off injectors or the fuel pumps:

What I want to do is to set the ignition timing 10 degrees ATDC. The reason I want to do this is to be able to use hydrogen based fuel like the output of an electrolyser cell. I looked at the demo version of VCM suite and it has many windows to set the timing advance and retard. But here I do not need to advance or retard (at least initially) but set static ignition timing to 10 degrees after the piston cross the top position. Because hydrogen burns so fast, the spark has to occur after TDC. Does the VCM editor allows to set the ignition timing in such a way? Can I also turn off the fuel injectors via some settings in VCM? because the hydrogen will be just mixed with air at the engine air intake so no need to use the injectors. My goal is to power the electrolyser with a separate battery and use the output gas as fuel and potentially get few hours of drive time. The power to the electrolyser (and hence the amount of H2) can be pwm controlled based on the accelerator position and engine load, which I think can be easily read from the j1939 CAN bus. I can try that on a suburban 2015 but scared, may damage engine. May be first I will try this idea on a cheap test car. Thanks in advance.

you have the knowledge to do all that but can't figure out how to disable the injectors?
rewrite programming or
unplug each injector or
pulll a fuse if they are not powered by a module.

I don't see how you're going to do any of that without having a way to have custom programming in the ecm and you do realize you'd be completely voiding the powertrain warranty?
