Default How do I remove the dash?

I have had my 2004 Tahoe to the dealership numerous times for a rattle in the top of the dash that they have been unable to repair. I know where it is coming from and how to fix it but to access it I must remove the top of the dash. I have everything tore down but I can't figure out how to get the dash loose from the area around the passenger side air bag with the hand grip. Somebody please tell me how to get the top of the dash off. Please don't tell me to take it to the dealer, I'm out of warranty and they are through trying to fix my rattle. Need help ASAP as the garage is covered with dash pieces at the moment. Thanks!!

Default RE: How do I remove the dash?

Just so you would know, I did figure it out. On the back side of where the hand grip connects to the dash the 2 rods securing the grip each have a white plastic clip on them. You push in the clip and the rod releases. Thanks anyway.
