Default How do you get to all of the spark plugs?

I've got an 05 Suburban Z71 and am trying to do a tune up but am having a problem getting to all of the plugs. I am currently working on the passenger side and cannot for the life of me reach back to the last plug closest to the firewall. Any suggestions. I looked at the drivers side and looks like I might have an issue with the first plug closest to the front of the truck.

I just did mine on my '98. The driver's side is worse. First, make sure you have a proper spark plug ratchet (with the flexible joint head) and suitable extension on your socket. Try turning your tire all the way left and see if you can get it from the flap behind the tire.

Not sure if the '05 is the same as the '98 but it might work for you.

Thanks, but I don't think that will help in the 05. I got all of them in the drivers side fine. The one farthest to the back (by the firewall) is blocked by the A/C (I think). I'm not an auto mechanic, just a computer technician....

Or try a sparkplug socket that has a hex on the end and you can put a box end wrench on it.

Remove the wheel and get to it through the wheel well. The flexible material around the suspension can be moved around easily.

I'm not sure that will work. I looked at doing that and it still doesn't look like enough room. I think the plug is blocked in by the AC compressor (maybe, maybe not). If I think of it later I will take a pic from my phone and post it.

Thanks for the help guys. I might just have to look at getting some of those other spark plug sockets too.

No problem, I appreciate the ideas and will try removing the tire too. Won't be until this weekend since I don't have any jacks here at my house.
