Default How to get more horsepower and torque from my Suburban?

I have a 2011 Suburban, with the standard 5.3L. What can I do to get more horsepower and torque for towing my 5KLB trailer? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

Well, higher flow exhaust, better intake, swap the heads, intake manifold, better cam, exhaust headers, bore and stroke, etc. Same thing everyone else has been doing for the past 100+ years.

Get a chip, cold air intake, and better exhaust and see how that works for you.
