Default How to get the old battery out?

Going to upgrade to a better battery in my 07 Tahoe LTZ. Looked at it this evening, and was wondering whats the easiest way to get this thing out. Should I just remove that curved support piece that sits right above it? And how do I get remove that red plastic piece on the pos. terminal, and the pos. terminal itself. Looks like I have to loosen a small nut, and the terminal should just come off, but it could be deceiving. Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The brace has to come off. If I remember right, the red cover comes off after you disconnect the positive terminal. Don't be surprised if the cover doesn't fit very well if at all on your new battery.
