how to install OEM entertainment centre DVD in other vehicles
I could not find how to install a stock overhead entertainment centre anywhere so I did some research and here goes. My unit came from a 2006 Suburban put into a 2005 Tahoe. It should work for all 2000-2006 GM GMC Tahoe Yukon Suburban SUVs.
I only wanted to get the DVD usable in the rear of the vehicle, I did not connect the unit to the radio so this will not work through the radio speakers, only the wireless headphones.
Connect orange , pin 9, to perm +, pref to its own 15A fuse
Connect black/white , pin 7, ( watch out there are 2 B/W, the other is pin 12) to ground
Connect the light green/black to any data line, I used pin 2 of the data link connector , just to the left of the parking brake release lever, it is purple in colour.
You may need to make a bracket of some sort as the player hooks and screws into the power sunroof frame, which you may not have.

I assume that all Tahoe/Sub have a harness floating around up there in the headliner? I'm going to try to install an aftermarket Pyle unit, and just wanted to see if there's power up there?
