Yea, a young cop was killed by a woman near my area when she was on her iphone driving... her small SUV hit him. Now we have 2 lives that are ruined...

I just want to enter address destinations while moving. (VSS switch, when I get to it)

It is not GMs job to police us. You can't prevent crime, you can only cause consequences for those who disobey. If I rear end you while distracted that is MY FAULT, NOT GM'S FAULT, NOT Apple's fault, possibly your fault if your damn 3rd brake light doesn't work, but it is MY ACTION. They are removing our ability to make simple choices and it is not right.

If I want to drive 60 MPH strait into a tree, that's my prerogative.... and I will have to live with the results of those actions and others may have to, or not have to depending on the situation...

If GM wasn't decades behind in technology this may be moot... the Chrsyler MyGig lets you SPEAK your ADDRESS destination while moving!

Distracted driving is part of the US culture... not much we can do, but hey I love my 5,600lb safety box

It is all the lawyers w/o enuf to do that GM has to worry about. Plus it's illegal in most or all states to have a TV/movie screen visible to the driver.

I even heard of a claim where they went after the person who recommended the Lockpic. JK.

Its because of the idiots that sue over the stupidest things that make them restrict certain features.

I heard on the radio a couple years back, A woman was driving her RV, when to the back to make a sandwich and the RV went into the ditch. She sued and won because it ddin't state that she couldn't leave the drivers seat in the owners manual.

Or the person who burnt themselves on a cup of coffee from McD's, and sued because it didn't say the drink was HOT!!! on the cup....yes they got money as well

Default hot coffee

if you read the coffee case on wikipedia she actually was pretty badly burnt... McD didn't want to pay her medical bills, which originally was all she asked for... $20,000.00

While I feel bad for her; it was... her fault... damn socialism... next I will have MY health care go UP because everyone else now magically has coverage and we have no new doctors... so to get to the front of the line, I will pay more! driving ALL costs up

I'll bet she thought because it had the cruise control engaged, she could do that.

Default cruise

speaking of cruise control, the one thing I really wish the Tahoe had is adaptive cruise...

I hate setting the cruise, going along... then... someone in the passing lane not PASSING... and all you want to do is use your big metal brush guard to tap them out of the way... but that would involve WAY too much paper work for me...

so... i'd like the tahoe to have what Merc and Volvo and BMW have:
