ok, so the dome light on my 1999 suburban is kinda "tilty"...thus means it is broken inside.
so it looks "easy" to replce if i can remove it. well thast more difficult.

i can reach behind it, squeeze in the little tabs and get it out about 1/8" but then it stops.
from a view of the switch on RockAuto it has "ears" on it, and i can feel the ears.
The ears make the shape theoretically square. . seems stupid but it is what it is!

here is the pic of the replacement and you can see the ears at the 9 & 3 o'clock positions. at 12 o'clock is the tab that holds it in the dash




has anybody had to replce theirs and how the heck did you get it out?
