new question: what is the button to the left of the onstar button? not the red cross one, but the one with just a dot.

I've pushed it and nothing has happened... I wonder if it's a handsfree for the cells or what...

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's for using the OnStar system for a Verizon cell phone.

Nice wheels, now need to clean those fender liners.

thats what the majority seems to think is that it's for cell phone stuff...

yeah I got alot of cleaning and buffing to do... I just noticed yesterday there there are alot of small scratches on the hood (think cat) that will need addressed and alot more misc scratches... I need to make good friends with a body guy...

I believe that button turns off the auto dim function of the mirror which is turned on everytime you start the vehicle. Check your owners manual.

That's the one on the far left w/ the circle and line. I agree. Thought he was referring to the one just to the right. Good advice on reading the manual.

My bad. I tried it on my 07 LT3 today and it would change my temp reading from F to C or turn the temp/compass reading off but the mirror still auto dimmed.
