Default i have low oil pressure on a 2006 suburban with a 5.3

im trying to decide weather to buy a used engine or repair the one in my suburban. its a 2006 with a 5.3 and it has 200,000 miles. it has low oil pressure i have changed the bearings on the crankshaft the oil pump and the oring at the oil pump and its still reading near zero oil pressure.

my question is weather i should use a donor engine or repair the engine i allready have. any advice would be greatly appreicated

i did the bottom half bearings and oil pump and the oring on the pickup line that always goes out. i am at the point of removing the current engine trying to decide weather to buy a used motor from junk yard or just do a gasket and seal replacement and camshaft bearings on the current motor. i would replace all the gaskets and seals on the donor motor as well if i bought one.

Have you tied an external oil pressure gauge to make sure its not a bad sending unit or readout?

I would rebuild the motor that you have.
