So asked to borrow my son's tyre compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Five minutes later grey smoke pouring out from behind the centre console of my 2003 Suburban 1500LT. Started stripping the interior out to follow the wires back but they disappear behind the central console support which seems to be pop riveted into the car. Has anyone followed these wires please, They go down the drivers side of the transmission tunnel then up and right behind the console area. They are burnt as far as I can see them and I am worried that they are in a major wiring loom further in. Tomorrow I will pull out the glove box and trim but if anyone can help me to the routing it would make life a lot easier.
