Isaw that. I also looked for a 3rd brake light and got "There are currently no product in this range." for each query I attempted. Maybe they are not 100% yet...

Installing the 3rd brake light is relativelt easy, like I said in my earlier post, but, one of the guys in my Baltimore area Hoe club tried to install his and screwed up big time. So, here we go.

TOOLS NEEDED: T-25 TORX SCREWDRIVER OR WRENCH, 10MM SOCKET OR 10MM COMBINATION WRENCH

Open the liftglass, NOT THE LIFTGATE, JUST THE GLASS. At the end closest to the top you'll see 3 torx head screws. Using the t-25 screwdriver, remove the screws. (I used a cordless drill with the t-25 bits because they're on there pretty tight.)

Next, there are 2 hinge-like brackets on the outer edges, at the top of the glass, holding the glass in place with 10mm nuts (stop smiling). Remove them, BUT, do it slowly so that you can keep control of the assembly outside of the glass. (having someone helping you is a good thing, but it's possible to do this alone)

Once you 've removed these you have to go on the outside of the glass, on the roof to dis-connect the power source. There's only a small clip on harness. Unclip it. There are 2 more 10mm nuts holding the light to the assembly. remove them and the light pops right out.

Set the new LED light in place, tighten the 10mm nuts back down, re-connect the power source. Put the assembly back on the window and here's the important part, MAKE SURE THE RUBBER WEATHER STRIPPING GOES BACK IN PLACE. Install the 10mm nuts on the bolts, and then the t-25 torx screws. MAKE SURE THE TORX SCREWS ARE TIGHTENED AS FAR AS THEY CAN GO.

Close the glass, have someone step on the brake(or find something to hold the pedal down), step backand rejoice !

They're bright as !@#$ at night, but in the day time, you can see these lights from OVER 3 city blocks away.

Great addition.
Thanks for info. Great help. Mahalo!!!
