Default Installing 07 nav

How difficult is it to install the factory navigation system in an 07 tahoe? Would it be possible for me to install it not having any installation of electronic equipment experience? OR should I just let the dealer take care of the install? Which brings me to my last question, how much would the install cost at the dealer? Thanks for the help in advance guys

The hardest part of the install is parting with the $$$ for the new head unit!!!!

Seriously, there is very little 'electronics' knowledge required. There is a sticky at the top of the forum with extremely detailed instructions on how to install the radio, antenna, and speed sensor wire. Out of the entire project, the most difficult task is the removal of the trim around the radio/HVAC cluster.

If you live in NY (Hudson Valley), I can do it for you in less than 1.5 hours for a modest fee!!

I am in the same boat as you, but I feel with the information in this forum I can do it. I am not an electronics guru either, but can figure things out with a little guidance and trial and error. Go for it and report back. Good Luck

Yea I just don't want to take off trim pieces and panels with the chance of them being loose or altered when I put them back on. The dealership would probably charge an arm and a leg to install this for me though so I may have to. I am currently looking for one on EBAY like the 650 dollars one posted here a few weeks ago. The cheapest I have seen lately is 900 or so. When are you lookin at doing this engine2?
